Callie was the sole survivor of the first incident, having been the only one that managed to run away and not trip any of the killer's traps set up in the forest. She was forced to leave her best friends, her sister, and her girlfriend behind, and blames herself for their deaths. In an attempt to avenge them, Callie attempts to enlist the help of the local forensics students at her college shortly after the incident. They're all reluctant since the violent murders got a lot of news coverage (plus it wasn't really legal for them to investigate), except for one: self-proclaimed detective Zubari immediately jumps at the opportunity to prove her superior intelligence. She ropes her friends together into a makeshift forensics team to collect evidence of the killer. Simone, the wife of one of Callie's friends, also tags along, though she quickly bails out when the killer actually shows up. The killer quickly kills off Callie's forensic team, leaving Callie behind once more.
If a forensics team couldn't take down the killer, nor would the police, then it was surely Callie's responsibility to find a third way? It takes her a long time, but eventually she manages to hire two mercenaries to try and take her out. Marcy and Empress take half of their payment up front and then delve into the woods with Callie to hunt the killer down with intent to kill. It doesn't work out, of course, and eventually everyone in town knows not to help out Callie. She's desperate for anyone, however, even accepting the help of the Player without knowing anything about them. She feels that she must have been spared by the killer for some specific reason. Escaping once may have been blind luck, but three times? There was no way that wasn't intentional. The player's offer to help is Callie's last chance to learn what that reason is.
Callie is incredibly upbeat despite all she's been through, though in Incident 2 this is notably muted. In all incidents after the first she is extremely persistent and determined to either hunt down the killer and to get answers about the incidents. She's a little reckless, which is obvious from the fact she repeatedly tries to handle the problem herself. She doesn't think much about others, either, always dragging at least one other person into danger with her and disregarding any advice to stay away from the killer and their woods. Despite being this gung-ho about it she is notably cowardly, typically running and leaving her allies behind when push comes to shove.
Her relationship with the player depends on how you interact with her.
Callie and Roman were dating before Roman's death. They had a good relationship and were very close, and Roman's death is Callie's biggest regret.
Terry is Callie's younger sister. Though they fought a lot over petty things, Callie cared for Terry deeply. Though her parents don't blame her for her sister's death, she blames herself.
Keres is a close friend of Callie's. Most of Callie's music taste was influenced by Keres.
Hathor was originally just Keres' friend, but Callie is fond of her enough to consider Hathor one of her own friends.
Whitney is the 'wine aunt' friend of Callie's friend group. She helped Callie a lot through college, and Callie looks up to her.
Callie doesn't interact with Simone often, but she knows her well enough through Whitney to not hate her.
Callie doesn't know Zubari very well and finds her a bit haughty, but she depends on the detective during the course of Incident 2. She's ultimately disappointed by Zubari's performance.
They're Zubari's friends, not hers, so Callie doesn't care much about them.
Callie admires Empress and Marcy's strength, but their relationship isn't much deeper than that.
Callie met all her friends at college, and is on her last semester before graduation at the time of Incident 1. The University insignia is a simple cat, which also represents their sports team. Callie is getting her degree in Humanities. The University itself is never named, but everyone in Callie's small town goes there for their degrees.
Callie is always acutely aware of the killer's location, even in dark spaces or from very far away. Her mere presence in the party is enough to alert everyone to its presence
