Roman went camping with Callie and their friends for spring break, spending most of the time swimming in the lake. Whitney leaves earlier in the night to make sure the cabin she and her wife own is ready for guests. Terry storms off into the woods shortly after. The other four girls (Roman, Callie, Keres, and Hathor) stay by the campfire. When Terry doesn't come back for quite some time, the four go look for her. While looking around, Roman and Callie find Terry's corpse. Roman faints at the sight of so much blood, and Callie isn't able to pick her up to run from the killer when it shows up. Roman is thus left behind to die.

Roman is a goofy girl that enjoys moving around. She has a joke for most situations, and she's always trying to lighten the mood. Though she looks tough she's a bit of a scaredy-cat and struggles with confrontation. She'll go along with the people around her even if she'd rather not, and she avoids any sort of horror content.

Roman goes to the same university Callie does and will graduate next year. The University insignia is a simple cat, which also represents the sports team Roman is on. The University itself is never named, but everyone in Roman's small town goes there for their degrees. Roman is studying Business, but her heart isn't really in it and she's only studying it to have a degree on her resume.
