Alphonse led a somewhat tumultuous life. His parents were divorced, and he lived with his mother. He grew up as a delinquent girl, full of wrath for reasons he couldn't quite comprehend at the time. He would go out of his way to intimidate others and just barely scraped by in terms of grades. When he met Seth in highschool, however, Seth wasn't scared of him and was actually quite kind. Seth helped Alphonse through his transition journey, and the two agreed to live together after highschool to save on rent. When Alphonse's identity was straightened out and he officially got away from his parents the soft part of him that he had forced down for most of his life began to show. He's currently working on his nursing degree to become an emergency response nurse.
Alphonse is a rough-and-tumble looking man, but he's actually a massive softie. He has resting bitch face and a rough vernacular, but never says anything mean unless it's warranted. He holds a lot of compassion for people, even those that don't necessarily deserve it. Alphonse is patient in most cases, but he can get annoyed by blatant stupidity. Sometimes he'll act meaner than he is for a joke, but he's always the first to apologize when something he says or does sparks an argument or hurts someone else. That said, if he feels like he wasn't in the wrong he will not do this. Overall he's just trying his best to be genuine, balancing being kind with not being a pushover as much as possible.
Seth and Alphonse are on good terms as roommates. They've been friends since highschool.
Alphonse is polite to Byagoona since it's Seth's friend. They don't interact enough in the story to become friends themselves, but I think they would be good pals if they were given the chance.
The world that all living things experience and interact with is known as 'the realm of the living.' It has a flow of time that can be disrupted by beings of significant enough power, and everything tangible is considered to be on this plane. Ghosts can interact with tangible items, and humans will be able to see their effects. Living beings cannot see ghosts themselves, however, except under special circumstances.
