the hunt

There are four incidents. The first was five college students and a highschooler, rabbits frolicking around a forest clearing. The second was the investigators that sought them, sly foxes sticking their noses where they didn't belong. Then the hunters came, struggling with all their might, a pair of wolves struck down. A cat accompanied them all. Does a cat have nine lives? Let's find out together, little butterfly.

incident 1

The first killings were investigated by the police after the sole witness, Callie, testified to the bodies she had seen and the chase she had engaged in. The police never found anything, though, and repeatedly referred to it as a missing persons incident. Callie was discredited at every turn by the public, but the families of those that died never blamed her and believed every word she said.

incident 2

The second killings would never have happened if Callie hadn't insisted on finding something the police didn't. She brought others into a domain she knew was dangerous. Nothing is more dangerous than a cornered predator. They were killed because they had to die.

incident 3

With the ideal of turning the hunter into the hunted, two mercenaries are led into the woods by Callie. Callie is still seeking answers, and the mercenaries are aware of this. They die because they have to. They die because the killer doesn't want to.

incident 4

The fourth incident is the most dangerous for Callie. Practically alone in the woods, alone with a killer who is tired of being disturbed, a killer who has already been witnessed as much as it wanted to be. There are multiple ways to skin a cat.

ability: killer stalk

The killer is an adept hunter and can kill other characters, as well as place traps in predetermined locations. It is possible to hide from it, but it will search for you if it only recently lost you during a chase.

trivia

• The Killer's appearance is based on cats just like Callie to link the two.
• The Killer originally had a lumberjack appearance featuring a gas mask. It didn't look that good, and I liked the executioner design a lot more.
• I really wanted the killer's silhouette to be more intimidating than their actual appearance. I wanted it to have horns like a demon. I was going for the same horror vibe that laundry in the corner at night has.
• I have never watched a slasher film in my life.
• This page is essentially a summary page, as well as a page to find the killer's reference image (which as of yet I have not made). It is otherwise intentionally left vague. I may update this and the Player's page with more information after a while.
